Summary: Inspired by the most popular putters of the past four decades, the Nike Method Mod 60 putter updates the classic with modern technology to perform in today's game. Method Modern putters include Nike's revolutionary Polymetal Groove Technology, which uses a combination of soft polymer and milled steel grooves to generate faster, more controlled forward roll at impact. The distinctive 60-degree toe hang, determined by the weight location in relation to the head, offers a personalised feel for optimal forgiveness, roll and accuracy. Precision CNC milled face has been designed for premium performance.

Looks: Pips its brother by 0.1 in the appearance stakes. Less lines (just the one in fact) at address probably had something to do with that. Again, the majority of testers appreciated the satin chrome finish, but overall, narrowly preferred this mid-mallet offering. Three testers gave full marks in this category. 3.6 (out of 5)

Feel: Several testers felt it wasn't as soft as Nike claims and that made the 15-foot putts harder to judge pace. Three testers said the feel was quite harsh off the face in relation to others. Majority of testers felt there was less weight in the centre and more weight in the heel and toe - contributing to a lower, deeper CG. 7 (out of 10)

Performance: Just as the case with looks, Mod 60 pips its brother by 0.1 in the performance stakes. Very accurate both from close and mid-range. Testers narrowly preferred the 60-degree toe hang on offer here. Majority of testers experienced a true, consistent roll on the 3- and 6-footers. A combination of soft polymer and milled steel grooves helped generate faster, more controlled forward roll at impact. Very few putts tended to skid or hop, and few finished short of the cup. Several testers struggled with pace from long range and that hindered the average score. 7.1 (out of 10)

Verdict: Finishes 0.2 points ahead of the Mod 00, so there's very little to choose between them. Like the previous mallet, Mod 60 represents one of the best Nike putters we've seen. Expensive at £175 but well worth a look. 17.7 (out of 25)

Results: 105 putts holed (out of 180)
