Will Zalatoris WITB: October 2024

Will Zalatoris is one of the brightest young talents on the PGA Tour, and since turning pro in 2018, despite only winning once on the PGA Tour, he's enjoyed a very successful career. 

Zalatoris, 28, attended Wake Forest University in North Carolina, where he was named ACC Player of the Year in 2017. As an amateur, he also won the 2014 US Junior Amateur.

As a result of his success at college, Zalatoris was also a member of the 2017 Walker Cup team that also featured fellow PGA Tour stars Collin Morikawa and Cameron Champ.

Zalatoris' start in professional golf got off to a rocky start when he failed to make it past the first stage of Q School for the Korn Ferry Tour, leaving him with no status in 2019.

Relying on Monday qualifiers and sponsors' exemptions, he finished 60th in the points list, confirming his Korn Ferry Tour card for the 2020 season.

2020 was a breakthrough year for Zalatoris, and after qualifying for the US Open, he finished tied for sixth place with Dustin Johnson, which went a long way in helping him secure special temporary member status on the PGA Tour in 2021.

In April of 2021 Zalatoris finished second in The Masters, beginning a streak of second place finishes at major championships.

After winning Rookie of the Year in 2021, he then went on to finish second at the 2022 US PGA and second again at the US Open in the same year. 

In August of 2022 Zalatoris finally sealed his first victory on the PGA Tour, winning the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee.

Zalatoris is a Titleist brand ambassador and uses a full bag of the brand's clubs. The only exception is a L.A.B Golf putter.
