Angel Hidalgo WITB: September 2024
Take a look inside the bag of DP World Tour player Angel Hidalgo.
Angel Hidalgo won his first DP World Tour title at the Acciona Open De Espana, defeating fellow countryman Jon Rahm in the second hole of the sudden-death playoff at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid.
Hidalgo, 26, is a two-time Spanish amateur champion, and has won twice on the Alps Tour and once on the Challenge Tour.
The Spaniard went wire to wire in Spain to capture his first DP World Tour title, and despite missing a putt to win the tournament on the final hole of regulation play, he managed to compose himself to defeat former world No.1 Rahm with a birdie on the second playoff hole.
In a breakthrough year for Hidalgo, he also played in his first major championship in 2024, having qualified for The Open at Royal Troon.
Hidalgo is a Cobra brand ambassador, and currently uses a mixed bag of clubs, including the Cobra LIMIT3D irons, which are the first commercially available 3D printed irons ever made.
He has also used 12 different putters this year before eventually settling on his TaylorMade Spider Tour X.
