GOLFMAGIC VERDICT:

One of the most impressive utility irons on the market.

While it was a treat to test each of the different models and head shapes (including the Lo version as used by Tiger Woods at The Open), it was the Mid that ticked all the boxes for me as it allowed me to better control my ball flight.

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW: TAYLORMADE GAPR FIRST LOOK

Each of you will be different out there, however, so I recommend you head down to your local store and play around with each of the GAPRs alongside your fitter to find the best one for your game.

If you're noticing a big gap bewteen your 4iron and 5wood then the new Taylormade GAPR could be the answer. While punchy in price, I would have no hesistation sticking this one straight in the bag.

Let us know what you think if you take the plunge or get to test it out.
