Five fascinating stats from The Masters
Can Tiger Woods make the cut?
In Tiger Woods' professional career, he has made the cut at The Masters in all 23 of his appearances. Moreover, he has secured a top-five finish in more than half of those outings, with 12 out of 23, and has emerged victorious in the tournament five times.
This week, he will aim to make history by making 24 consecutive cuts at Augusta National, overtaking two other former champions, Gary Player and Fred Couples.

Jon Rahm aims to join an elite club of back-to-back Masters winners
Rahm will have his sights set on a historic achievement this week: becoming the first golfer since Tiger Woods (2001 and 2002) to secure consecutive green jackets. Only Jack Nicklaus (1965 and 1966) and Nick Faldo (1989 and 1990) have previously accomplished this remarkable feat.
The mythical hole in one
In total, there have been 34 holes-in-one recorded at Augusta National, with the majority, 24, occurring at the iconic 16th hole.
Only three have been achieved at the renowned 12th hole, with none occurring since 1988.
Jeff Sluman holds the distinction of being the sole player to have scored an ace at the fourth hole.
Tommy Fleetwood was the last player to ace the 16th when he holed out from 170 yards with a seven iron in 2021.
Birdie time
Anthony Kim holds the record for the most birdies in a round at Augusta National.
In 2009 he carded 11 birdies in his second round to shoot 65.
Despite the stellar round, Kim went on to shoot 72 and 74 on the weekend to finish tied for 20th.
Who holds the course record?
The record is shared by Nick Price and Greg Norman, both of whom carded identical 63s, albeit a decade apart.
Both golfers posted a score of 33 on the front nine and 30 on the back nine, resulting in a stunning nine-under par.
Norman achieved his remarkable feat during the first round in 1996, while Price accomplished his during the third round in 1986.
