Tiger Woods told by former Rory McIlroy ally: "You're just a greedy billionaire"
Rory McIlroy's former agent Andrew 'Chubby' Chandler has offered a dim take on TGL after Tiger Woods made his debut.
Rory McIlroy's former agent Andrew 'Chubby' Chandler has torn TGL to shreds after seeing Tiger Woods' debut.
Woods, 49, made his long-awaited first appearance in the hi-tech golf league last night.
The 15-time major winner strutted into the purpose-built arena to Survivor classic Eye of the Tiger intent on 'having fun'.

And he did, although his Jupiter Links were emphatically beaten 12-1 by Los Angeles' Collin Morikawa, Justin Rose and Sahith Theegala.
The highlight of the night arrived courtesy of Woods' teammate Kevin Kisner.
Kisner bladed his bunker shot on the 14th that crashed into the flagstick and flew across the other side of the green.
From there, Kisner nearly holed out from 50ft as Woods was reduced to tears he was laughing so much.
"That was honestly one of the funniest things I've seen," Woods said.

Not everyone is enjoying TGL's offerings so far, though.
McIlroy's former agent Chandler reckons the two golfers - along with Patrick Cantlay - have made golf 'vulgar'.
He told Prime Casino: "Tiger and Rory have got the investment in it. They are who they are. Cantlay is running the Tour.
"You've got the lunatics running the asylum and it's not good is it? Their business acumen doesn't match their golf acumen."
He continued: "The same day it was launched, the TGL, they announced the PIP payments. It's vulgar isn't it. Tiger played four times, five times [last year].
"What did they give him? £10m or more.
"What is going on? What does it look like to the man on the street now? It looks like a load of greedy billionaires trying to cash in, cash in, cash in.
"When you get an NFL quarterback getting paid £30 million a year for five years, they talk about it when they sign the contract and you never hear about it again. It all disappears.
"Golf keeps resurfacing about money. It's all about the money all of the time. I worry about it.
"Does the young kid who wants to be a PGA player, does he want to be a simulator player? No."

Chandler said TGL is simply a means to compensate PGA Tour players who did not join LIV Golf.
"However they dress it up, they're giving all these top players the money because they've not gone to LIV," he said.
"It's all about putting cash in their pockets. I don't know how much they will have paid all these guys but to get them to fly out to Orlando for a night in the middle of their schedules, it ain't going to be cheap.
"They're going there for a lot of money to stop them being with LIV, to say thank you for not going with LIV."
Chandler also claimed TGL have made the same mistake as LIV by not including women.
He suggested that golf's latest venture have also missed a trick by not including more content creators.
"Tiger didn't crack a joke for 20 years when he was winning every week," Chandler said.
"He almost didn't smile. He now thinks he's an entertainer.
"He's got his headphones on, he thinks he's cool doing this and that and the other."
