"I'm thrilled to be returning to the Emirates Golf Club for the 2025 event," McIlroy said.
"This is a tournament I relish playing and continuing my run here by adding a fifth title would be really special and an ideal way to kick off 2025.
"The support we get in Dubai is always fantastic, it's an incredible course with a great atmosphere, and I'm looking forward to what is always a competitive event."
McIlroy produced a remarkable performance over the weekend when he claimed the Dubai Desert Classic in January.
He was 10 strokes adrift of the lead after 36 holes but fired a 63 to put him in the final group on Sunday.
McIlroy went on to win by one stroke after reeling in American Cameron Young.
The victory also saw McIlroy overhaul Ernie Els' trio of wins in the tournament.
McIlroy is currently on a small break from the game after an exhausting season.
He will be back in action in November at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.
He played the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship last week with his father, Gerry, and LIV Golf chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan.
McIlroy expressed optimism the warring tours could find a resolution to end the split in the men's game by the end of the year.
PGA Tour boss Jay Monahan was also in Scotland and was pictured laughing, joking and hugging Al-Rumayyan, who is also the PIF governor.
"There's no better place than the home of golf to try and get everyone together and talking," McIlroy told BBC Sport NI.
"I think it's a great thing and good sign that Jay and Yasir are going to play together.
"And obviously youve got quite a big contingent over from LIV that are playing in this event."
Tyrrell Hatton ultimately won the tournament for the third time in his career.
