Keegan Bradley says Phil Mickelson isn't interested in being involved at the 2025 Ryder Cup.

Bradley, who is not ruling out the possibility of combining the captaincy with a playing role, made the revelation about Mickelson in New York on Tuesday.

Mickelson has had a storied career in the Ryder Cup, representing Team USA across multiple decades and boasts an overall record of 18-22-7.

He also holds the record for most appearances in the Cup for Team USA, representing the red, white and blue on 12 occasions.

But he has essentially been an outcast in the biennial dust-up since his switch to LIV Golf two years ago, which caused significant friction with the PGA Tour.

His and other players' decision to jump ship was also a headache for the PGA of America.

But we are led to believe tensions are thawing in the corridors of power, leading to speculation that Lefty might have a Ryder Cup future after all.

Even Keegan Bradley's European counterpart, Luke Donald, has claimed Sergio Garcia is mulling a return to the DP World Tour to resurrect his Ryder Cup career.

So could Mickelson have any role at Bethpage?

Answering the 'loaded' question bluntly, Bradley said: "To be honest I haven't gotten that far. I personally don't think he's interested in doing it.

"I owe a lot to Phil and he's done so much for America in the Ryder Cup but I'm not so sure he's looking to come in as a vice captain."

Unruly spectators will be chucked out at Bethpage

A raucous home crowd is expected at Bethpage.

Some observers have already suggested the contest might turn ugly.

But Bradley has claimed he has every faith in the New York crowd not to cross the line.

He also outlined how the PGA of America will tackle any potential disruption.

"The PGA of America has things in place for each group to monitor the situation and if you act inappropriately you're going to be asked to leave the tournament," he said.

"I hope and expect the fans will respect what the guys are doing but also at the same time be lively and supporting our team."

Donald echoed Bradley's sentiments.

"Keegan and I like to do things the right way, win fairly and squarely," he said.

"We want the best team to win in a passionate and spirited high energy environment."

The 2025 Ryder Cup takes place over 26-28 September.
