Scottie Scheffler's caddie reportedly screamed at a spectator who made a derogatory comment about the golfer's wife Meredith on the third day of the 2024 Presidents Cup, according to a report.

Per the Athletic's Gabby Herzig, Scheffler's looper Ted Scott went outside the ropes to make his feelings known after a 'derogatory' comment was made about his wife.

Herzig claimed that Scheffler's father Scott confirmed that the fan was 'promptly removed by security'.

Herzig also posted a photograph of the exchange on X, with Scott apparently staring down the fan.

Scheffler helped his U.S. teammates forge an 11-7 lead at the 2024 Presidents Cup heading into the Sunday singles

The reigning Masters champion partnered Collin Morikawa in the morning four-balls and took down the International pairing of Adam Scott and Taylor Pendrith 2&1.

For his part, Scheffler gave all the credit to Henley, saying that he was 'on another planet' for the first five holes.

"I felt like I messed up the beginning of the match," Scheffler said.

"I felt like I was on a different planet for the first six holes, really the first five holes,"Starting on No. 6 I hit a good shot in there, and I don't think Russ missed a shot today.

"I can't think of one shot I thought he could have hit better. Props to my guy here; he's a great partner and I'm just proud to be out here with him."
