The 2024 Presidents Cup is under way.

Team USA, led by Jim Furyk, dominated the first day of the 15th edition of the biennial showdown by winning all five matches on Thursday.

Xander Schauffele and Tony Finau put the first point on the board for the red, white and blue.

They defeated Jason Day and Ben An on the 18th hole courtesy of a clutch birdie putt by the two-time major champion.

Collin Morikawa and rookie Sahith Theegala added another point in their match against Adam Scott and Min Woo Lee.

World No.1 Scottie Scheffler and Russell Henley emerged 3&2 winners over Tom Kim and Sungjae Im in a heated affair.

Patrick Cantlay and Sam Burns beat Hideki Matsuyama and Corey Conners 2&1.

U.S. Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley ensured a 5-0 drubbing by making a birdie on the 18th hole to win his match with Wyndham Clark against Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Taylor Pendrith.
