As for Matsuyama, he joins the list of players to have their names mispronounced or flat-out butchered.
The former Masters champion was announced as 'Hideekee Matsumboola' before beginning his second round at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Matsuyama ended up having a pretty decent day, hitting four birdies and one bogey to card a second round 3-under 69.
Sepp Straka held a three-shot lead after 36 holes.
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is the second signature event of 2025 on the PGA Tour schedule.
Matsuyama won the first in Hawaii, The Sentry, with a record low score.
