Tiger Woods' ex-mistress announces engagement days after Vanessa Trump announcement

Rachel Uchitel, who once thrust into the global spotlight as Tiger Woods’ most infamous mistress, is now making headlines for a very different reason — her own happily ever after. 

Just days after Woods, 49, officially confirmed his relationship with girlfriend Vanessa Trump on social media, Uchitel, 50, revealed she’s now engaged to her boyfriend, Dan Donovan.

The engagement announcement came on Friday 28 March through a joint Instagram post that showcased Uchitel beaming with happiness as she displayed her stunning new bling — a radiant-cut diamond set on a sleek, thin band adorned with melee diamonds. 

The caption was simple yet joyful: "So this happened.. #engaged."

The happy update for Uchitel marks a striking contrast to the turbulent chapter she faced over a decade ago when she became a household name due to her involvement with Woods. 

At the time, her affair with the 15-time major champion was the tipping point that led to the unraveling of Woods’ seemingly perfect image. 

Rachel claims to have first met the golf legend whilst she was dating former baseball star Derek Jeter.

"I first met Tiger Woods – I was dating Derek Jeter – and Tiger was sleeping over at Derek’s house," Rachel said on an episode of the Juicy Scoop podcast in 2023.

"He was just a buddy… and we just became friendly. So that’s how I originally met him in Manhattan. I met him a couple of times in the nightclubs through other people and he would come in or whatever."

The media frenzy thereafter was relentless, and Uchitel’s private life was splashed across headlines worldwide. 

Uchitel not so long ago told Us Weekly she suffered from a "love addiction" when it came to her romance with Woods back in the day.

"I will say that this is a very real thing that I think people don't have awareness about," Uchitel told the publication following part one of the Tiger documentary that aired on HBO Max in November 2023. 

"It’s where people mistake intensity for love and people sort of look to someone else to gain credibility for not feeling credible inside."

In the years since, Uchitel has openly reflected on the fallout and the challenges of rebuilding her life in the public eye.

Woods was married to Elin Nordegren when he was first accused of having secret love affairs with multiple women, one of which included Uchitel.

The scandal would lead to the end of Woods' six-year marriage to Elin in 2010.

Woods and Elin share two children - Samantha Woods, 17, and Charlie Woods, 16.

Who is Rachel Uchitel's new fiancé?

Dan Donovan is a successful entrepreneur and founder of the security companies Stratoscope and Ingressotek.

Known for his low-key presence despite his business acumen, Donovan expressed his joy on social media with the heartfelt caption.

"She said Yes!." He later posted a picture of the engagement ring, gushing, "Something shiny for the most amazing woman!!."

Donovan popped the question at Rosewood Miramar Beach in Montecito, California — a luxurious getaway where the couple embraced near a crackling fireplace on an elevated patio just steps from the ocean.
