Sky Sports Golf pundit cracks hilarious joke about Collin Morikawa's wife!
Sky Sports Golf commentator David Howell made golf fans stifle a laugh when discussing Collin Morikawa during R1 of the RBC Heritage.
Sky Sports Golf commentator David Howell cracked a hilarious joke about Collin Morikawa and his wife during the opening round of the RBC Heritage on the PGA Tour.
Howell, a five-time European Tour winner, took to the mic as Morikawa putted away for birdie on the 3rd.
"Now, Morikawa, a wonderful Masters," said Howell as the putt was struck.
"It all kind of fell away at the end, which would have disappointed him," he continued, as Morikawa's putt narrowly missed.
Co-commentator and two-time European Tour winner Andrew Coltart then chimed in to reveal how Morikawa, despite finishing T3 at The Masters last week, recently parted ways with his swing coach Mark Blackburn.
"The unusual thing was he sacked his coach just before The Masters," said Coltart.
"He's also got a new golf ball in the bag, as well as a new driver and a new wedge."
Howell then replies: "Caddie?"
"No, caddie definitely the same," said Coltart.
"Is the wife aware?" joked Howell.
As Coltart stifled a laugh, the Scot said: "I don't know about that, but maybe a lot of people start to do things like that!"
Howell said: "A worrying trend if you are Mrs Morikawa."
LPGA Tour legend Dame Laura Davies, who was listening on, said: "You're a mischievous man, David Howell."
You can't beat a bit of banter in the Sky Sports Golf comms box now, can you?!
Morikawa tied the knot with his wife Katherine Zhu in November 2022.
