John Daly was left red-faced after topping his opening tee shot at the Hoag Classic on the PGA Tour Champions.
Daly, 57, was all ready to tee off before his name was even announced on the first tee.
The two-time major champion then backed off the shot as his name was called out by the first-tee announcer.
He then stepped into the ball only to top it in front of him.
Daly went on to make a double-bogey six on the par-4 1st.
