Host of player WDs ahead of next PGA Tour event
Seamus Power declines chance to defend in Bermuda as PGA Tour confirms host of player WDs in penultimate event of season.
The PGA Tour has confirmed a number of player withdrawals ahead of this week's penultimate event of the season at the Bermuda Championship.
As it stands on November 6, three days before the start of the tournament, nine players have WD either as a result of injury or because they are already safe in earning their PGA Tour card for 2024.
Those ranked 51-125 in the FedEx Cup Fall Standings after next week's RSM Classic will earn their PGA Tour cards for 2024.
In a recent change made last month, those players finishing 126-200 in the standings will be able to accept full membership of the DP World Tour next season, should they wish to take up such an opportunity.
This week's Bemuda Championship is not exactly the strongest lineup on the PGA Tour but it does see former Masters champion Adam Scott and former US Open champion Lucas Glover tee it up at Port Royal GC.
Last week's victor Erik van Rooyen is also in the field.
Seamus Power won the tournament in 2022 but he has declined the chance to defend his title.
