Austin Eckroat captured his second career PGA Tour title on Tiger Woods' golf course at the World Wide Technology Championship.
Eckroat, 25, bogeyed the par-5 18th after duffing his third shot to the right of the green, but it all added up to a stunning 9-under 63 at the Woods- designed El Cardonal at Diamante in Mexico.
The American finished the week on 24-under par and one shot clear of his compatriots Carson Young and Justin Lower, who both closed with respectable rounds of 65.
The victory marked a second win of the 2024 PGA Tour season for Eckroat, who landed his first career title at the Cognizant Classic in March.
Eckroat, who started the final round one shot off the pace, was greeted off the back of the 18th green by his wife Sally Eckroat.
Young stood over a 40-footer for eagle on the 18th in the group behind to tie things up with Eckroat, but he missed the putt on the low side and tapped in for birdie.
Lower then converted his own putt for eagle from 10 feet to join Young on 23-under par and one shy of Eckroat.
Eckroat now becomes the seventh multi-time winner on the PGA Tour in 2024.
He joins Scottie Scheffler (seven), Rory McIlroy (two), Bob MacIntyre (two), Xander Schauffele (two), Nick Dunlap (two) and Hideki Matsuyama (two).
"That's probably some of the best golf I've ever played, it was automatic out there today," said Eckroat.
"It's crazy I only won by one playing that good, obviously everyone played well.
He added: "It just validates the season I've had, it's a great way to cap off the year and it's really special to do it at an event where I'm an ambassador of their company."
On the support of his wife Sally Eckroat, he said: "She's incredible, to have her out here every week means a lot. To walk 72 holes with me every week, it's special to have that."
Max Greyserman continued his incredible run of form on the PGA Tour with a solo fourth on 22-under par.
Greyserman closed things out with a 65.
It marked a fourth top-four finish or better for Greyserman, who is still looking to clinch his first PGA Tour title.
Joe Highsmith rounded out the top five on 19-under par to secure his playing rights on the PGA Tour for 2025.
There are just two more events on the PGA Tour season.
The Tour heads to the Butterfield Bermuda Championship next week before the circuit concludes its season at the RSM Classic.
The top 125 after the RSM Classic earn their PGA Tour cards for next season.
