American Express prize money: Check out how much they are playing for as the PGA Tour heads to California for The American Express.
The PGA Tour heads to California for The American Express.
All of the action gets underway on 16 January at the Pete Dye Stadium Course.
Nick Dunlap is the defending champion this week.
When Dunlap triumphed here 12 months ago, he became the first amateur to win on the PGA Tour since Phil Mickelson in 1991.
The 20-year-old then decided to turn professional and, remarkably, won again in his debut season and was later crowned the rookie of the year.
There are several high-profile names in the 156-man field this week.
Xander Schauffele, Patrick Cantlay, Billy Horschel, Tom Kim, Justin Thomas, Sam Burns, Jason Day and Rickie Fowler are all playing.
World No.1 Scottie Scheffler remains sidelined through injury, as does Jordan Spieth.
But Spieth has recently confirmed his comeback date.
Rory McIlroy is not playing either, opting to kick off his 2025 campaign in the Middle East at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic alongside Shane Lowry and Tommy Fleetwood.
As ever there is a huge amount of prize money up for grabs.
The 2025 edition of The American Express has a total purse of $8.5m, meaning the winner will walk away with the top prize of $1,560,000.
GolfMagic has listed all of the payout information below.
