Horschel -4 (6)
Billy Horschel enters the mix with a second birdie in three holes at the par-5 6th.
The former FedEx Cup champ fires a pitch shot right in behind the hole for a kick-in birdie.
Horschel moves to 4-under par and just four back of Lowry.
Henley -3 (15)
It's a first bogey for the day for Russell Henley at the brutal par-4 15th, which is playing into the wind at over 500 yards.
Henley is having a brilliant day out on the links though at 5-under for the round.
The American is 3-under par for the tournament and just five back.
Schauffele -4 (8)
Schauffele narrowly misses out on a hole-in-one at the Postage Stamp 8th.
He leaves a kick in birdie though, marking his third straight birdie on this hole all week.
X-Man moves it to 3-under par on his round and to 4-under par for the tournament.

Lawrence -3 (F)
Lawrence two-putts for par on 18 to card a best of the day 65.
The South African has thrown his hat into the ring for a shot at The Open on Sunday.
Lawrence has vaulted to 3-under par for the tournament, which is five back of Lowry's lead right now.
But it's still absolutely chucking it down out here so it's not the nicest conditions at all.
Lowry -8 (4)
Leader Lowry curls in his first birdie of the day at the par-5 4th from 14 feet. He's now three ahead.
Morikawa -1 (9)
Two birdies in the space of three holes have pulled the two-time major champion into the red.
Morikawa to 1-under par and six back.
Rose -5 (4)
Justin Rose picks up his first birdie of the round after getting up and down from short of the par-5 4th.
Rose moves back to two behind Lowry.
Scheffler -3 (4)
A big missed opportunity for Scheffler at the par-5 4th.
Scheffler splashed out of sand to some six feet but he missed the birdie putt on the high side.
It's a par for the World No.1, who remains 1-under par for the round and four shots off the pace at 3-under par in the tournament.
Brown -4, Lowry -7 (2)
Both players give themselves decent birdie chances but both attempts roll by the cup.
Both in for par.
Lowry finds another fairway at the third...
Scheffler -3, Burmester -2 (3)
The world number one strikes at the par-4 third hole.
An approach from 148 yards smack bang in the middle of the fairway was right on the money.
Can he convert from five feet? Absolutely.
Brown -4, Lowry -7 (1)
Daniel Brown left himself with an outside chance to save par at the first but his effort drifts right of the cup.
That's only his fourth bogey of the week.
Breath, young man!
What can Lowry do?
From the fairway bunker, Lowry hit a superb second shot that stopped 35 feet from the cup.
He left himself far more than he'd like back up the hill, but he shows nerves of steel to not drop a shot.
Rose -4, Horschel -2 (1)
Justin Rose was roared onto the first tee but he's already dropped a shot.
Rose paid the price after he found the greenside bunker.
Big day for Daniel Brown, who gets his third round underway with 36-hole leader Shane Lowry.
It's an iron for the Englishman and his ball comes to a halt perilously close to the fairway bunker.
That's going to be awkward.
What can Lowry do? Well, he is in the trap.
Scheffler -2, D. Burmester -2 (1)
The world number one hits his first approach onto the green.
The only problem is he's 39 feet away.
Scheffler lags his putt to inside two feet to start with a four.
Cantlay -1, Schauffele -2 (2)
Schauffele moves to 2-under after rolling in a lengthy putt at the second hole.
Cantlay -1, Schauffele -1 (1)
Two safe pars for the American duo.
The world number one is ready to go.
He will be playing the third round with South Africa's Dean Burmester.
It's really bucketing it down now...
Phil Mickelson made the cut here and his score of 72 this morning leaves on 6-over after 54 holes.
Before the major began, social media was buzzing after he was filmed on the practice range hitting golf balls next to his old adversary Tiger Woods.
Did they talk?
"We said hi," Mickelson told reporters.
"Yeah, we said hi, but we were both preparing.
"It's not like we're going to sit there and chat. But we said hello, yeah."
On his round today at Royal Troon: "It was fine. I enjoyed the round. I had fun.
"I didn't score the way I wanted to, but I always enjoy playing here, and there's a lot of great memories for me from around this golf course from 2016 but even going back to 2004 when I missed the playoff by a shot.
"I just really love Troon golf."
Rahm +1, Siem +1 (4)
The 2023 Masters champion began his third round with a par but dropped a shot at the next.
Courtesy of a seven-foot birdie putt at the fourth, he's back to 1-over for the championship.
Rahm can't take advantage of the fifth, mind, and his birdie putt stops inches short.
Rain is starting to fall now at Royal Troon.
Not that it seems to bother Thriston Lawrence, though.
The South African moves to 7-under for the round and 4-under overall thanks to another birdie at the 11th.
Madness.
He's into a tie for fifth.
Game 34 has just teed off.
And it features Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka.
It's fair to say there will be a few people following this group today.
Both players begun the third round at 1-over par.
