What is the prize money for The Open Championship?
The R&A have confirmed the purse for the 2024 major will be $17,000,000.
That represents an 18 per cent increase from last year when American Brian Harman prevailed in testing conditions at Royal Liverpool.
Harman won $3,000,000.
The champion this year will receive a cheque for $3,100,000.
The aforementioned DeChambeau picked up $4,300,000 at last month's US Open at Pinehurst No.2.
Scheffler won $3,600,000 for winning The Masters and Schauffele picked up $3,300,000 for claiming the PGA Championship at Valhalla.
