Golf fans react as fresh Scottie Scheffler mugshot goes viral during The Open
The mugshots of some of the world's best golfers including Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy have gone viral ahead of the Olympic Games in Paris.
Fear not golf fans, Scottie Scheffler has not been arrested entering Royal Troon before the start of the third round of 152nd Open Championship.
Scheffler's latest mugshot has been blasted across golf social media the past 24 hours because he and others are competing in the Paris Olympics in two weeks' time.
For context, and why there's been a bit of banter on social media, Scheffler was shockingly arrested prior to the start of his second round at the US PGA in May.

That was after the runaway World No.1 failed to understand the traffic situation heading into Valhalla GC following a fatal collision that had taken place earlier in the day.
Scheffler was immediately arrested and sent into a jail cell where his mugshot was splashed across social media to the shock of the golf world.
Scheffler was charged and then released an hour later meaning he could still compete in the second round.
He went on to finish a respectable T8 given the circumstances.
The following month, all charges were dropped against Scheffler.
Scheffler is in contention for a first Open title this week.
He lies T4 thru 36 holes as he also goes in search of a seventh victory on the PGA Tour in 2024.
But back to the top of the story and Scheffler's latest mugshot ahead of the Olympic Games.
The men's Olympic golf tournament tees off at former Ryder Cup venue Le Golf National from 1-4 August.
The women's tournament will then follow afterwards.
Player mugshots have this weekend surfaced on the official Olympics website.
Scheffler is competing in a four-man United States men's golf team that includes reigning Olympic gold medallist Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa and Wyndham Clark.
USA are permitted four players in their men's golf team as they all appear in the world's top 15.
Other teams are only allowed two players.
Rory McIlroy's mugshot has also got fans talking.

McIlroy has decided to once again represent Ireland at the Olympics.
He will join his good friend Shane Lowry, who currently leads The Open.
McIlroy unthinkably shot rounds of 78 and 75 to miss the cut on 11-over par.
The Northern Irishman's former agent believes McIlroy's 'messy life' and divorce U-turn has played a significant role in him missing the halfway cut at Troon.
McIlroy is now going on holiday to dust himself down before competing in the Olympics.
The World No.2 is also in the mix to win both the FedEx Cup and Race to Dubai once again.
McIlroy said after bowing out The Open:
"Obviously the majors have come and gone, but to sort of refocus and try to reset for the Olympics, which will be another cool experience, and try to play well there, and then again, I'm in contention to try to win both titles on either side of the Atlantic, so still some things to play for until the end of the year."
