LPGA Tour star Charley Hull forced out of Aramco Team Series London after 'nasty fall'
England's Charley Hull has been forced to withdraw from the Aramco Team Series presented by PIF - London.
Charley Hull has revealed she was forced to withdraw from this week's Aramco Team Series presented by PIF – London due to a shoulder injury.
Hull, 28, withdrew from the Ladies European Tour event on Tuesday morning on medical grounds after consultation with a physiotherapist.
The World No.8 walked out of Centurion Club after having only played six holes in the first round.
Shortly afterwards, Hull took to Instagram Story to divulge more details.
Hull claimed she had a 'nasty fall' on Sunday.
Hull wrote:
"Today I had to withdraw from @aramcoteamseries London following medical advice, due to ongoing pain in my right shoulder following a nasty fall on Sunday night. I'm so disappointed as I always love playing in this series, particularly in front of a home crowd.
"Sorry to the fans who came out to watch, my playing partners for leaving you after 6 holes, and to all those behind the scenes who work tirelessly to make these events run so well @golf_saudi @letgolf."
Hull left golf fans in awe at her 'saucy' club twirl last week.
In recent months, Hull has split opinion in the golf world by ripping darts on the course.
Runaway World No.1 Nelly Korda was also forced to withdraw from Aramco Team Series London.
Korda made the call last week just days before the event after having being bitten by a dog.
Tournament sponsors and English golf fans have therefore been left somewhat deflated this week as a result of the star two names pulling out of the event.
Aramco Team Series London teed off this morning at Centurion Club with 36 teams of three professionals and one amateur battling it out on day one and two before a final day shootout for the pros on Friday 5 July.
The Aramco Team Series presented by PIF – London is the third of five events on the global team series, with an Asian event in October to be announced, ahead of the finale in Riyadh in November.
