Richard Bland mocked over his 40-second LIV Golf video post
LIV Golf pro Richard Bland reveals he has re-signed with the Cleeks for 2024, but he doesn't look particularly excited about it!
LIV Golf player Richard Bland has been mocked on social media after posting a 40-second video to confirm he has re-signed with Martin Kaymer's Cleeks GC for 2024.
Bland, 50, admitted to being excited to extend his contract with the Cleeks ahead of LIV Golf's third season, only his face seemed to paint a different picture.
The one-time DP World Tour winner joined LIV Golf during its first season in 2022.
Many fans praised Bland for being open about the reasons why he was joining the Saudi-backed circuit in the first place.
Bland made it clear he was joining LIV Golf simply as a result of the money.
He then decided to terminate his DP World Tour last season along with the likes of European Ryder Cup legends Sergio Garcia, Lee Westwood and Ian Poulter.
After finishing 20th in the LIV Golf League standings, assuring him of a place in the Lock Zone for 2024, Bland has confirmed he has re-signed for Kaymer's Cleeks GC.
Kaymer is able to remain as captain of the team despite finishing in the relegation zone as a result of his exempt status on LIV Golf.
The remaining two players in Cleeks GC - Bernd Wiesberger and Graeme McDowell - now become free agents as a result of them finishing 41st and 42nd respectively on the LIV Golf League.
It now remains to be seen what Kaymer decides to do with the remaining two spots on his team.
Tour pro Chris Paisley, who won the 2018 South African Open, took aim at Bland's latest social media post when tweeting:
