Report: Anthony Kim to make shock return to action at LIV Golf Jeddah
Anthony Kim could be in line to make a sensational LIV Golf debut in Saudi Arabia this March.
Anthony Kim could be in line for a sensational return to competitive action by joining the LIV Golf League in March, per Barstool Sports' Dan Rapaport.
Kim, 38, won three times on the PGA Tour between 2008 and 2010 and he played a key role in helping the United States Ryder Cup team defeat Europe at Valhalla in 2008.
But Kim would disappear from the game in 2012, citing no reason, and he has also not given an interview since.
It is largely accepted he cashed in on an insurance policy after struggling with injuries to his wrist and knee.
That policy would be voided should he ever play competitive golf again.
AK could return at LIV Golf Jeddah
However, according to Barstool Sports' Rapaport, word among the LIV Golf players teeing it up at Mayakoba in Mexico this week is that Kim is nearing a shock return to the sport and to the Saudi-bankrolled circuit at LIV Golf Jeddah from 1-3 March.
Jeddah plays host to the third LIV Golf League event of 2024 following Mayakoba this week and Las Vegas from 8-10 February.
