LIV Golfer hits out at...LIV Golf?! "Why is that so crazy?"
LIV Golf's Harold Varner III appeared to take an issue with a post on X from the league's official handle after the first round of their event in Las Vegas.
Harold Varner III appeared to take an issue with a post from LIV Golf's official X account on Thursday.
The golfer posted a first round of 63 at LIV Golf Las Vegas to share the early lead with England's Paul Casey.
Just one week prior Varner, 33, finished dead last at the breakaway tour's opening stop of 2024 at Mayakoba.
The league posted a graphic on X highlighting the turnaround in fortunes for Varner.
Alongside a picture of Varner, said post read: "Golf. It's a crazy game..."
And Varner responded with a question. It was a simple one: "Why is that so crazy?"
In fairness to LIV's social media that is a decent response from Varner but it's not that remarkable.
Just a few weeks ago amateur Nick Dunlap claimed victory on the PGA Tour and, following his decision to turn pro, finished bottom of the leaderboard at Pebble Beach.

DJ's hilarious response to Varner transfer
Varner is playing the third season with the breakaway tour for Dustin Johnson's 4 Aces outfit.
He transferred from Bubba Watson's RangeGoats. Ahead of the new campaign, captain DJ was asked about his decision to recruit Varner.
His reponse? Perhaps the most on-brand answer from DJ ever. Read more about that here.
