LIV Golf players Joaquin Niemann and Adrian Meronk have confirmed they will enter the DP World Tour's playoffs next month in a bid to improve their world rankings.

Niemann and Meronk will join fellow LIV golfers Tyrrell Hatton and Jon Rahm in the fields at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and the DP World Tour Championship.

The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, which will be played over 7-10 November, is reserved for the top 70 players in the Race to Dubai standings.

From there, the field is trimmed to 50 for the $10m season finale a week later.

For Niemann, it will represent his debut in the playoffs. The Chilean is currently 32nd in the Race to Dubai standings and 136th in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Meronk is 38th in the order of merit and 90th in the OWGR.

Good tournaments for both players could see them jump up significantly in the rankings and therefore open up the possibility of being invited at least one major next year.

Neither player has any major exemptions for 2025.

The PGA of America typically invites players in the top 100 of the OWGR to the PGA Championship.

Niemann was invited to the US PGA last year and also The Masters

But those gestures were widely viewed as recognition for his victory at the ISPS Handa Australian Open and being a former winner of the Latin America Amateur Championship.

Meronk played in all four majors this year but performed poorly.

He missed cuts at The Masters, PGA Championship and U.S. Open and tied for 50th at The Open

Niemann tied for 22nd at Augusta National, tied for 39th at Valhalla and tied for 59th at Royal Troon.

He did not qualify for the U.S. Open.

"I've got three tournaments left this year to improve my world ranking," Meronk told reporters.

"'ll be playing both events in the UAE and the International Series tournament in Saudi in December.

"Dubai and Abu Dhabi will offer big points, so we'll see where I stand afterward."
