An emotional Shaun Norris clinched his second DP World Tour title on home turf at the Alfred Dunhill Championship.
Norris, 42, started the day six shots off the pace but his closing 5-under 67 was enough to seal a narrow one-shot victory at Leopard Creek CC.
The South African started the day with a brilliant eagle on the par-5 2nd, before going birdie-double-birdie on holes 6 to 8.
Norris then drained three birdies in the space of five holes from the 11th to hit the top of the leaderboard for the first time.
Having finished his final round more than an hour before the leading groups finished, Norris had a lengthy wait to learn whether his 13-under clubhouse total would be enough for victory.
His compatriot Ryan Van Velzen was tied for the lead in the final group but he made a complete hash of the par-5 18th when finding the water with his approach shot and his eventual bogey-six was enough to hand Norris the title.
A disbelieving Norris then discovered his fate while warming up on the range.
After realising he had won the tournament, an emotional Norris hugged members of his team including his wife Candy Norris.
"We called this one," Norris is heard saying to his wife.
The victory marks Norris' second on the DP World Tour having also won the Steyn City Championship in South Africa in March 2022.
Sweden's Marcus Kinhult held a two-shot lead heading into the final round but he had a day to forget with a 74 and he would finish in a tie for second.
