Thriston Lawrence, Rasmus Hojgaard and Paul Waring have all officially locked up their PGA Tour cards for 2025 via the DP World Tour Rankings.

The DP World Tour trio have chalked up enough points to ensure their playing privileges on the PGA Tour for the first time in their careers next season.

Lawrence, 27, has enjoyed a fantastic DP World Tour season despite not winning a single tournament.

The South African has finished runner-up an incredible five times on the DP World Tour in 2024, highlighted by losing out to Billy Horschel in a three-man playoff at the BMW PGA at famed Wentworth in September.

Lawrence is the only player who can mathematically catch Rory McIlroy in the season-long Race to Dubai this week.

He ranks second behind McIlroy but he's some 1,800 points behind the five-time Race to Dubai champion.

McIlroy would need to finish well down the field and Lawrence would need to win the DP World Tour Championship in order for there to be a shock on the cards this Sunday.

The World No.3 is seeking a historic sixth Race to Dubai title, a feat that was achieved by late great Seve Ballesteros.

Collin Montgomerie holds the record for eight Order of Merits on the European Tour.

Lawrence will be joined on the PGA Tour next season by both Hojgaard, 23, and Waring, 39.

Hojgaard was agonisingly denied his first PGA Tour card last season by the smallest of margins but he has made amends this season after another stellar season, highlighted by taking down McIlroy on his home soil to win the Irish Open at iconic Royal County Down.

Waring also picked up his first-ever PGA Tour card after landing a shock win at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship last week.

The Englishman notched his second career title on the circuit and first in more than six years at Yas Links.

He revealed his delight at achieving a career goal of his just before the age of 40 when speaking in the DP World Tour's Green Room.

Seven more PGA Tour cards are up for grabs in Dubai this weekend.

The '10 cards' initiative was established last season thanks to the 'strategic alliance' between the PGA Tour and DP World Tour.

Critics argue this makes zero sense from a commercial perspective as the European-based circuit is willingly giving away talent.

Others, such as former DP World Tour chief executive Keith Pelley, have claimed the initiative merely formalised a pathway that always existed.

Whatever your thoughts, it's clear that some Tour pros in contention for a golden ticket will start to feel the pressure over the next few weeks.

Niklas Norgaard, Matteo Manassero and Jesper Svensson also look assured of punching their tickets onto the PGA Tour.

While unlikely, there is still a mathematical chance that all three players could come up short.
