Intrigued to know how much they are playing for at the season-ending DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates, as well as how much is up for grabs in the Race to Dubai bonus pool? Well you have arrived at the right place as we have all the details for you below.

Rory McIlroy is a red-hot favourite not just to win the Race to Dubai, but to do it in style by winning the DP World Tour Championship too.

As it stands, McIlroy holds a commanding lead atop the Race to Dubai standings as he goes in pursuit of more records on the DP World Tour.

The 50-man DP World Tour Championship marks the final event of the season-long Race to Dubai.

The top 50 in the DP World Tour Rankings were eligible to compete in the 2024 season finale.

The $10m tournament is once again staged on the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai.

Nicolas Hojgaard is the defending champion, while McIlroy is the defending Race to Dubai champion.

Jon Rahm is a record three-time winner of the DP World Tour Championship but the LIV Golf star has decided to remain at home with his family.

PGA Tour star Ludvig Aberg was also eligible to compete but he is not able to compete due to still recovering from a knee injury.

The omissions of both Rahm and Aberg see Connor Syme (51st) and Francesco Laporta (52nd) take full advantage and enter the field.

The race is also on this week for DP World Tour players to earn PGA Tour cards for 2025.

A total of 10 cards will be available.

The DP World Tour has also stumped up a $6m bonus pool for the top 10 players in the season-long Race to Dubai.

McIlroy, 35, is very much in the driving seat for the $2m first prize bonus as he's some 1,800 points clear of Thriston Lawrence in second.

Lawrence is the only man who can mathematically catch McIlroy in the Race to Dubai.

McIlroy is seeking a third straight Race to Dubai title and sixth overall.

Should he go on to achieve it on Sunday, he will match the feat of late great Seve Ballesteros for six Harry Vardon trophies.

Colin Montgomerie holds the record of eight Order of Merits on the European Tour.

McIlroy has made it clear that hunting down Montgomerie's record is one of his career goals.
