England's Tyrrell Hatton held his nerve on the 72nd hole to claim the title at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.

The 33-year-old Englishman went into the 18th at Emirates Golf Club with a comfortable two-shot lead over New Zealand's Daniel Hillier.

Hillier went for the par-5 in two strokes whereas Hatton took the sensible approach and laid up, only to leave his birdie attempt 47 feet from the pin.

Hatton was faced with a nine-foot putt for the win after Hillier got up-and-down from the greenside rough to reach 14-under.

And he did just that to secure his eighth overall title on the DP World Tour of his career.

It also represented Hatton's fifth victory in a Rolex Series event.

That means there are more Ryder Cup and Race to Dubai points on offer and a bigger prize purse.

The 2025 Hero Dubai Desert Classic had a total prize purse of €9m.

Hatton took home the winner's cheque for €1,486,699.47.
