Eddie Pepperell has teed up the chance for his first victory in more than six years.
The Englishman holds a share of the lead on 11-under after 54 holes at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open.
The 33-year-old made four birdies and one bogey in a third round of 3-under 69 and shares the top spot with South Africa's Dylan Naidoo.
Pepperell, who has his wife Jen on the bag this week at Mont Choisy Le Golf, has not tasted victory since the 2018 British Masters.
He lost his DP World Tour card in 2024 and, agonisingly at Q-School, missed out on winning it back by one shot.
"[Confidence] probably goes quicker than it comes back but as we who play the game all know, if you are a good player and can find something the confidence can come back quite fast," Pepperell told the DP World Tour's Matthieu Wood.
"You have just got to keep that magic as long as you can.
"It is a fickle thing. I always think confidence is the icing and the cherry on top of the cake, but it is by no means the cake.
"The more rounds of golf and period of time you can have playing well, confidence can blossom."
Pepperell has his wife Jen on caddying duties this week.
On his podcast he referred to her as 'Top-10 Jen' as the previous time she was on the bag, years ago, he had a decent finish.
The winner of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open will take home the top prize of €255,000.
The order of merit leader for the Opening Swing will also receive €192,000.
