PGA Tour makes fun of Justin Thomas over Ryder Cup pick then deletes post
PGA Tour Twitter account makes fun of Justin Thomas' US Ryder Cup pick with Kevin James viral meme.
PGA Tour's Twitter account went rogue on Monday night as it took aim at Justin Thomas receiving one of Zach Johnson's six picks in the US Ryder Cup team by using the viral Kevin James meme.
In recent days, an old photo of actor and comedian Kevin James has been doing the rounds on social media in the form of various different memes.
The photograph, which has seemingly come out of nowhere, shows James smirking while shrugging his shoulders.
The snap of James was a Getty Images promotional shot from his popular 90s sitcom 'The King of Queens'.

James played deliveryman Doug Heffernan.
The show ran for 207 episodes and it aired on CBS from 1998 through 2007.
The photo of James has been used alongside captions about being shamelessly guilty, bashful, confident and cheeky.
PGA Tour's Twitter account opted for a bit of all of that with their choice of caption on Monday night, just four days before the start of the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome, Italy.
Team USA are bidding to defend the Ryder Cup and win on European soil for the first time since 1993.
Captain Johnson named Thomas as one of his six picks in the team at the end of August.
Golf fans have been somewhat divided on the call of Thomas, especially given he endured his worst season to date on the PGA Tour this season.
It was a season that saw him miss out on the FedEx Cup Playoffs for the first time in his PGA Tour career.
Taking aim at Thomas, the PGA Tour Twitter account posted the viral photo of Kevin James with the caption:
Here's the post that was on Twitter just moments before it was deleted:
A number of golf fans had to take a step back to check it was actually the real PGA Tour Twitter account posting such a tweet.
It was.
The post was up on Twitter for the best part of two hours before it got deleted.
It had 309k views at the time prior to being taken down.
Here's a look at some of the comments from golf fans before the post got deleted:
They will probably delete this soon so here is a screenshot of what they tweeted: pic.twitter.com/eDNiqZPMYT

Thomas may have been a controversial captain's pick but his record at the Ryder Cup reads impressively at 6-2-1.
JT also performed admirably in his final start before the Ryder Cup with a solo fifth at the Fortinet Championship two weeks ago.
That was his best result on the PGA Tour since a solo fourth at the WM Phoenix Open in February this year.
Thomas is making his third appearance in the Ryder Cup this week.
