LIV Golf's Bryson DeChambeau in post-US Open Ryder Cup plea
Bryson DeChambeau has called for US Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson not to overlook him for a pick owing to his association with the LIV Golf League.
Bryson DeChambeau says he is hoping his performances in the major championships this year will be enough to warrant consideration for a Ryder Cup pick.
Things have changed quite a bit in men's professional golf since the last Ryder Cup was played at Whistling Straits.
DeChambeau was part of the United States side that dismantled the Europeans 19-9 to mark the largest margin of victory since Continental Europe began playing the Ryder Cup in 1979.

The American, now 29, also put on a display of undiluted power and speed as he made minced meat of Sergio Garcia in the Sunday Singles.
DeChambeau decide to play in LIV Golf events in 2022, which prompted his suspension from the PGA Tour. All hell broke loose.
But recently the PGA Tour announced they will align their commercial interests with the Saudi backers of LIV Golf and, DeChambeau is hoping the new-found harmony - if it really exists - will lead to his Ryder Cup return.
DeChambeau posted three consecutive rounds in the 60s at Los Angeles Country Club to position himself well heading into the final round of the US Open.
Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau and Phil Mickelson will be out of a job if the deal between LIV Golf's backers and the PGA Tour goes through, according to this analyst.

Unfortunately for DeChambeau he struggled on the final day, posting a 4-over 74 to finish T-20.
DeChambeau told the media:
DeChambeau is right to point out that another strong showing at The Open should warrant his name being discussed.
But Johnson is unlikely to be watching any LIV Golf events. The US Captain recently sent an unintentional and hilarious dagger to the rival league when he revealed he had no idea their events were broadcast on The CW.
Johnson then refused to speculate about what his side will look like. "I don't know, I can't answer that," he told the media, adding:
Six players will automatically qualify for the US Ryder Cup side. Johnson will decide the rest. Currently, those players who currently occupy the automatic qualifiers list are Scottie Scheffler, Brooks Koepka, Max Homa, Xander Schauffele, Jordan Spieth and Patrick Cantlay.
