2013's three best women's golf drivers

Golfmagic take a look at three of the best ladies drivers of 2013

2013's three best women's golf drivers

1. TaylorMade R1 Ladies driver - £229.99

TaylorMade still dominate the ladies game when it comes to equipment. The ever popular TaylorMade R1 is still flying off the shelves and women are still benefiting from this fantastic ladies golf club.

The club is aimed at ladies of all handicaps and allows users to manipulate the face angle and loft to suit their game. The infamous TaylorMade white finish means the club looks great in the bag and the grey, orange and black crown adds a little extra spice.

There are seven different face angles available and 12 loft options. Forward positioned movable weights increase workability and the Inverted Cone Technology aims to improve ball speed.

This TaylorMade ladies driver comes with the ultralight Aldila RIP Phenom 50 shaft which, as the name suggest, is light at only 50 grams.

The driver has outstanding reviews from users and it’s no surprise this is one of the most popular ladies drivers in 2013. The majority of users find the club adds to their distance and the ladies driver is championed for its adjustability.

2. Cobra Golf AMP Ladies Driver - £149

Cobra pride themselves on making unique golf equipment and the AMP Ladies Driver is no different. It has a white non-glare crown which contrasts greatly with the black face which is meant to make the club easy to align. One thing’s for sure, it won’t go unnoticed like much of Cobra’s gear.

For the golfer who needs some help to hit the fairways, the adjustable flight technology will correct those irritating slices and hooks. The E9 Face technology and Dual Roll provide a large sweet spot and the weight of the head is low to the ground to help players get the ball air bound.

The shaft provided on this ladies driver is a MRC Cobra AMP Cell OS which weighs only 47 grams.

User reviews are almost all positive and golfers are raving about the club’s appearance and light weight.

3. Yonex VXF Ladies Driver - £159

I’ve recently come around to Yonex drivers  in a big way but it seems I’m not the only one – the Yonex VXF Ladies Driver is a big hit on the woman’s golf scene.

When I think of Yonex drivers I think of extreme forgiveness, great feel and maximum distance and this ladies driver is no different. This effort from Yonex sees them release a driver with the biggest sweet spot  they've ever produced which means you’ll get great distance even if you don’t hit it out the middle of the bat.

This will really appeal to the higher handicappers out there or those who aren’t the best ball strikers. The forged titanium body and titanium cup face also gives a great feel.

Yonex have used a lightweight HS750 shaft in this ladies driver and it has an original rubber grip to get your mitts on.

Reviews boast about the clubs extra distance and forgiving nature. A great ladies driver from a company going from strength to strength.
