WATCH: Wife of PGA Tour pro has most understated (?) reaction to her hole-in-one
Safe to say Billy Horschel's wife is probably having a better week than he is.
Billy Horschel was absolutely upstaged by his wife this week after missing the cut at the Travelers Championship.
Horschel, 36, shot rounds of 72 and 71 at TPC River Highlands in Connecticut to miss the cut at 3-over par.
Keegan Bradley went on to win the tournament at 23-under par for his sixth PGA Tour victory and first at the tournament.
Meanwhile, Horschel was still playing golf on Sunday despite missing the cut. He's had a tough time of late, has our Billy.
Horschel was reduced to tears at the Memorial after shooting an 84. It was the lowest he had ever felt in his career, he said.
Instead watching the final round of the Travelers, the Florida resident posted to Instagram that he was playing golf with his wife, Brittany Horschel, at the Country Club of Fairfield, also located in Connecticut.
"Played a little golf today at Country Club of Fairfield and wifey, [Brittany Horschel] decided to make an ace on the 9th hole," Horschel wrote in the Instagram post.
The caption accompanied a video, where Brittany walks up to the ninth green to see if her ball is in the bottom of the cup, to which it is.
Impressively, Brittany also mentions that it wasn't her first time making an ace before. However, it's not mentioned when the other one was recorded.
Although not a professional, Brittany is a highly talented golfer herself. She and Billy both played collegiate golf at the University of Florida.
Brittany played on the women's golf team between 2005 and 2009.
Billy also played for the Gators between 2005 and 2009, before turning pro in 2009. He's currently ranked No. 42 in the world and has two top-10 finishes so far this season.
We do have to point out that her reaction to the ace was a tad understated! What do you think?
