Homa tweeted two weeks ago that he would be taking some time out of the sport.
He has confirmed he will be playing in Tiger Woods' annual Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas in early December.
Homa tweeted:
Homa, 31, has enjoyed his greatest year to date on the PGA Tour with victories at the Wells Fargo Championship in May followed by a successful title defence at the Fortinet Championship when taking full advantage of a Danny Willett meltdown at 18 in September.
In total, Homa has won five times on the PGA Tour.
He is currently ranked 18th in the OWGR.
Homa also made his debut in the United States Presidents Cup side where he went unbeaten 4-0.
