PGA Tour: How much did they win at Travelers Championship?
Xander Schauffele won his first individual title on the PGA Tour in three years by securing a two-stroke victory at the Travelers Championship.
Xander Schauffele put a lot of demons to bed on Sunday evening at the Travelers Championship as he secured a two-shot win in Cromwell.
Since winning the Sentry Tournament of Champions in 2019, Schauffele has finished second eight times and also won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans alongside Patrick Cantlay.
The 28-year-old led by five after 36 holes and after rolling in a 26-foot birdie putt on the 11th hole at TPC River Highlands on Sunday, he led by three shots.
Sahith Theegala turned things around with birdies on the 13th, 15th and 17th holes to take a one-shot lead on 19-under-par, but he unravelled like he did at the WM Phoenix Open.
On the 72nd hole, Theegala drove his ball under the lip of the fairway bunker and he failed to get out of the sand when bravely going for the green. He made a double-bogey which gifted Schuaffele the win.
Schauffele birdied the final hole to card a 68 to win by two shots from Theegala and J. T. Poston who fired a final-round score of 64.
