How much did every player win at the Sanderson Farms Championship?
Sam Burns picked up the top prize in Mississippi by finishing one shot ahead of Nick Watney and Cameron Young.
Sam Burns is rising to stardom on the PGA Tour and he became a multiple champion at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
A stretch of three consecutive birdies on the back nine helped Burns reached 23-under-par, and suddenly he had a two-shot lead over the clubhouse leader Nick Watney.
Although Burns bogeyed his final hole, it was enough to deny Watney his first win in nine years and to secure his second win of 2021.
The 25-year-old won the Valspar Championship last season, which was a breakthrough moment for him. Now, ranked at number 18 in the world, he is one to watch for the rest of the season.
Burns picked up the top prize of $1,260,000 at the Country Club of Jackson, which is more than double the amount that Watney and Cameron Young earned in tied second place.
