Billy Horschel had a CRINGEY RESPONSE to this spectator heckle at Bay Hill
After missing a putt at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Billy Horschel decided to put this fan in his place...
Billy Horschel gave a very awkward response to a heckling spectator during the opening round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill on Thursday.
It wasn't the best of first rounds from Horschel, who has been in fine form as of late, but a 2-over par score of 74 has left him eight shots behind joint leaders Rory McIlroy and Corey Conners.
The bizarre incident took place at the 492-yard par-4 9th hole, where Horschel had a 35-foot putt for birdie.
After he made contact with the ball, there was a "GET IN THE HOLE" shout from someone in the limited crowd, but it didn't take long to see that Horschel's putt was a little off-line.
As Horschel walked up to his ball to tap it in for par, a spectator called out: "Bad read Billy!"
Horschel's response was ever so cringey...

“There’s a reason why I’m on that side of the ropes, and you’re on that side,” Horschel said. “I think my talent level is just a touch better.”
Some golf fans enjoyed Horschel's response, while others (myself included) found it extremely cringey.
Horschel is known for responding to comments he receives from spectators on the golf course, something he highlighted during last week's WGC-Workday Championship.
“And they may make a smart-a– remark and I make a smart-a– remark right back to them,” Horschel said at the Concession last week. They love when I give it back to them.”
