Scotland’s Carnoustie is a test on the most serene of days, but when when the wind blows it can become a torture chamber.

The finish is revered as one of the toughest in the sport, and has ended many pristine scorcards since it opened in 1842.

But last year, a beanied Tommy Fleetwood tore through the historic links at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
