WATCH: Rory Sabbatini makes a hole-in-one on the 12th at Pebble Beach
Rory Sabbatini sinks an epic hole-in-one on the 12th hole at Pebble Beach during round one of the 2019 U.S Open.
Rory Sabbatini is currently 115th in the Official World Golf Rankings and yesterday at the 2019 U.S Open, the 43-year-old Slovakian experienced a moment he will never forget on the 12th hole at Pebble Beach.
The 12th hole at Pebble Beach is a 202 yard par 3, with a large greenside bunker swallowing up anything short. Yesterday, on the opening round of the 2019 U.S Open, the pin was tucked away to the left, a risky shot if the players wanted to be aggressive.
Many of the Tour players played it safe towards the right of the green, but not Rory Sabbatini.
Sabbatini, grouped with England's Sam Horsfield and America's Roberto Castro, hit a beautiful iron shot with a touch of fade, taking two bounces and landing straight in the cup.
The sensational ace from Sabbatini was the 8th hole-in-one at Pebble Beach and the 45th in U.S Open history, with the last one dating back to 2014 when Zach Johnson made an ace on the 9th hole at Pinehurst.
The reaction was simply priceless, watch the video below and listen to how much he loved that one...
