WATCH: DeChambeau shows huge lack of respect to McEvoy on 18th green
Bryson DeChambeau takes to social media to apologise to European Open winner Richard McEvoy.
Bryson DeChambeau showed a huge lack of respect for his playing partner and European Open winner Richard McEvoy for how he handled defeat on the 18th green.
DeChambeau, 24, has progressed nicely up the world rankings to 23rd this season, but threw away his chance of a maiden European Tour title when playing his final four holes of the European Open in 5-over par to finish in a tie for 13th.
McEvoy, 39, buried a 15-foot putt for birdie on the final hole to prevail by one stroke and land his first European Tour title in 285 career starts, shortly before the American tapped home for a treble-bogey eight after finding the water twice.
DeChambeau walked over to McEvoy and gave what European Tour pro Eddie Pepperell described as a "classless handshake." Watch the incident below to make your own mind up...

Didn't do yourself any favours there Bryson! Plenty of style - but no class. pic.twitter.com/bLD4Pies4I— Noel Gallagher (@estshuffle) July 29, 2018
Has to be said, as far as classless handshakes go, that was a good’n!

DeChambeau has since taken to social media to apologise for his actions...
