Twitter reacts to Joaquin Niemann's INCREDIBLE driver stinger
Golf fans were in awe of Joaquin Niemann as he hit a low stinger with his driver at the Sentry Tournament of Champions.
Joaquin Niemann has quietly gone under the radar as one of the most exciting young players on the PGA Tour, with many golf fans forgetting that the Chilean is only 21 years old.
Playing in his first ever Presidents Cup last month, Niemann was Ernie Els' top performing player and was shining in a team that featured some true veterans of the sport.
Last September, Niemann won his very first PGA Tour title, taking home the A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier, earning him the right to play in the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii, a field that only contains PGA Tour winners of the previous calendar year.
Niemann started the tournament brilliantly and finished day one as the first round leader, but come Sunday Niemann had slipped down the leaderboard slightly, to finish in T5 with Rickie Fowler, earning himself $285,000 in prize money along the way.
During the Sentry Tournament of Champions, the weather in Hawaii became challenging for some, with winds becoming stronger than anticipated, but that didn't seem to trouble Niemann.
A video from Sunday's final round quickly went viral, when Niemann played a low stinger to keep his ball under the wind. Now this is a common shot in golf, usually played with an iron, but Niemann pulled this shot out of the locker using his driver off of the tee.
