Popular golf driving range to reopen its doors in accordance with Covid-19 restrctions...
Europe’s most popular driving range, Trafford Golf Centre, is due to reopen from March 29 in accordance with government guidelines as lockdown restrictions ease.
The range offers 53 driving bays featuring Toptracer technology, while lessons with the venue's PGA coaching professional staff will also return.
A takeaway service from the on-site Starbucks café & bar will also be available directly to bays, allowing players to enjoy drinks and a bite to eat whilst playing, and the range will be open seven days a week from 7am to 10.30pm. Club hire will also available and a maximum of two people will be allocated to each bay (the current restrictions all mix households outdoors).
Pete Styles, Director of Golf at Trafford Golf Centre and Dino Falls Adventure Golf, said: “It’s fantastic to announce the reopening of Trafford Golf Centre, we can’t wait to welcome back the public. As an outdoor, sporting attraction, we offer a safe environment and a space for players to stay fit and healthy.
“Whether you’re a regular player, or someone simply looking for a fun and active day out, we’re ready to welcome you. All of the relevant Covid-19 safety measures have been implemented, such as designated time slots and social distancing, ensuring a safe day out is enjoyed by all.”
The team has worked tirelessly to ensure the destination can reopen as safely as possible to visitors, following recommended Government guidance. Cleaning of the venue has been increased and all staff will have access to personal protective equipment to help keep them safe too.
Players can simply turn up and payment will be taken on arrival by contactless methods only. Alcohol will not be served at the venue until after April 12, however.
The venue has also shared the following guidelines for guests to ensure the utmost levels of safety:
> Please maintain social distancing.
> Additional zoning markings have been added at specific points around the building to help customers adhere to this.
> Every ball and club is disinfected thoroughly after use.
> Hand sanitizer is available throughout the facility.
> Facemasks are mandatory for adults whilst inside, but can be removed once outdoors in the bays.
> For extra protection, the reception team will be stationed behind a Perspex screen.
> If you are feeling unwell, have been self-isolating or are currently shielding, please do not visit.
Located at TraffordCity, Trafford Golf Centre is home to the biggest golf academy in the country with 10 PGA golf professionals and features a wealth of services and facilities including: six target greens spread over 300 yards, Toptracer ball tracking technology and Power Tee Automatic Ball machines on all bays, licensed Café and Bar serving Starbucks Coffee and a range of food plus the flagship American Golf retail store.
