Research reveals Dry January can buy you a golf weekend away in Spain
A research study conducted by the Golf Travel Centre has revealed that taking part in Dry January could save you enough money to treat yourself to a number of golf goodies, including a trip to Spain.
Given that all of the pubs are currently shut in the UK due to the coronavirus lockdown, the idea of partaking in Dry January might not be very appealing to many, but a recent study has revealed why you might consider it next year...
Since the start of the Covid pandemic, it's safe to say that I personally have enjoyed a few more beers at home than I normally would and the idea of doing Dry January didn't even cross my mind, but after receiving a research study from the Golf Travel Centre this morning, things might be a little different in 2022.
According to data obtained from the Deltic Night Index by Golf Travel Centre, a typical month, with no lockdown and no Dry January, would result in the average individual spending around £68.68 on a night out (2019).
With 58% of respondents going out at least once a week, the average person would then save around £343 from no nights out over the 5 weekends in January.
So if you took part in Dry January at a time when the pubs, bars and restaurants were open as normal, here's a few things that you'd be able to reward yourself with from those hard-earned sober savings.
