Patrick Cantlay storms home to win the Memorial Tournament
Cantlay cards stunning 8-under 64 to claim his second PGA Tour title at Jack Nicklaus' famous Memorial Tournament.
Patrick Cantlay stormed home to claim the second PGA Tour title of his career after firing the lowest final-day score in Memorial Tournament history.
Cantlay, 27, posted a flawless round featuring eight birdies to overcome a four-stroke deficit at the start of the day and prevail by two strokes over Adam Scott.
The victory vaults Cantlay into the world's top 10 for the first time in his career, and marks a third consecutive top-three finish on the PGA Tour.
''It feels great," said Cantlay, after receiving the trophy from host and record 18-time major champion Jack Nicklaus.
"It's been a while since I've won and being able to win on this golf course - a golf course I really like - in front of Jack, making that putt on the last hole, I can't tell you how good it feels."
What's better than walking off a winner?
Getting congratulated by @JackNicklaus.
