Jack Nicklaus believes golf's new knee-high drop rule will be changed

Jack Nicklaus has joined the likes of Rickie Fowler, Bryson DeChambeau and Jordan Spieth in calling for a quick amendment to golf's new 'knee-high drop' rule that came into effect this season.

Nicklaus applauds the rest of the changes made by the USGA and R&A as part of moderning the game of golf, with many brought into play in a bid to help speed up the game.

But the record 18-time major champion has voiced his displeasure with one rule in particular, that being the new 'knee-high drop'.

"I think they’ll change the drop-it-from-knee-height rule," said Nicklaus.

"It looks silly. How about ‘Anywhere between the knee and the waist'”?
