Huxley Golf aids rehabilitation of soldiers in St Andrews
Huxley Golf, a leading all-weather putting surface provider, is helping soldiers in St Andrews rehabilitate and learn new skills.
The Caddie School for Soldiers is a charity based in St Andrews that aids the rehabilitation of veterans while training them to begin new careers as caddies.
The charity is based in St Andrews at the St Andrews Home for Soldiers, and it aims to help veterans from America,Canada and the UK work through their physical injuries and post-traumatic stress while earning the skills needed to work as a caddie.
The veterans train at St Andrew's Dukes Course, but now, thanks to Huxley Golf, they also have a 20ft (6m) by 15ft (4.5m) all-weather putting green at their accommodation in order to help them practice borrowing and straight putts.
The new green not only functions as an excellent year-round practice facility but also doubles up as a tranquil and relaxing garden area.
Caddie School for Golfers founder and CEO, Don J. Snyder explained:
Huxley Golf has long been synonymous with premium all-weather golf surfaces and products. Endorsed by the UK’s leading golf organisations as well as many legendary golfers and celebrities and their coaching teams, the company’s artificial golf surfaces are in use all around the world at top-flight courses, resorts, and training academies.
