Callaway launch XR range
Callaway reveals new XR range for 2015
Callaway has revealed its new XR range of clubs to replace the X2 Hot for 2015.
The series features a new driver, fairway wood, hybrid and irons, which come in a regular model and an XR Pro.
Callaway XR driver
The Callaway XR driver is all about speed.
To reduce drag and maximise speed through the swing, Callaway has designed a Speed Step Crown and combined it with an optimised aerodynamic head shape.
The standout feature behind this driver, however, is the forgiveness on offer from the new R-Moto Face Technology. This provides a 17% lower centre of gravity (CG) location, 10% reduced face weight, 16% larger sweetspot and 9% higher moment of inertia (MOI).
The XR driver comes with eight different loft and lie options from the ever-popular Callaway OptiFit adjustabilty and there is a new Project X LZ stock shaft to generate an even greater energy transfer into the ball.
Available at £279 in 9, 10.5, 12 and 13.5-degree.
The XR Pro driver for better players, featuring a Forged Composite Crown and even more speed in an enhanced aerodynamic head shape, is available at £299 in 9 and 10.5-degree.
