Bettinardi release Kuchar Model 2 putter

Bettinardi has expanded its Matt Kuchar promoted putters with the release of Kuchar Model 2.

The half-moon putter is a centre-shafted version of Kuchar’s Arm Lock putter and is crafted from one piece of high-quality carbon steel.

The flat stick has seven degrees of loft, no offset and is 42 inches long, allowing the player to rest the grip on their forearm for stability, but is also available in standard length.“Both the standard and Arm Lock Kuchar Model 2HM putters will appeal to golfers who demand the very best in design, feel and precision,” said Bob Bettinardi. “With the anchoring ban less than a year away, the Arm Lock putter offers golfers the first legitimate centre-shafted option for a more stable stroke on the greens.”

Kuchar, a seven-time PGA Tour winner, is the best putter on Tour inside three feet, with a 100% success rate after more than 200 attempts.

The half-moon putter is a centre-shafted version of Kuchar’s Model 1 Arm Lock putter and is crafted from one piece of high-quality carbon steel.

The 42 inch Model 2 putters weigh 400g and come with seven degrees of loft, while the 350g standard-length version has three degress of loft.

The longer version allows players to rest the grip on their forearm, aiding stability, which could be useful for players still using an anchored putter ahead of next year's ban.
