Another day, another injury scare for England’s Ashes squad after star bowler Stuart Broad got pinned by a stray golf ball.

The fast bowler is a keen golfer, and has been playing with fellow paceman Jimmy Anderson while preparing for the first test this week at the Gabba.

The 31-year-old was playing at Brisbane Golf Club when he was hit on his lower back. He was quick to let fans know he was fine after a local journalist broke the news.

In the Instagram snap, you can see captain Joe Root in the background finding the funny side in the situation!

Steven Finn, Toby Roland-Jones, Mark Wood and Jake Ball are all nursing injuries, with Ben Stokes still at home pending a verdict on his altercation outside a nightclub in Bristol.
